Highlands College at Montana Tech offers a comprehensive Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in client care. This 14/15-credit program is conveniently structured for completion in just one semester, with admissions available each Fall, Spring, and Summer. The curriculum focuses on developing fundamental skills in client care, a solid understanding of basic body structure and function, and the importance of professionalism, communication, and empathy in the healthcare setting. With a first-come, first-served admission policy, qualified students are provided with a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience and prepare for certification through the Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services upon graduation. The program also has a school to work CNA project in partnership with area high schools and health care facilities, giving students unique real-world experience.
