Prairie State College’s Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program provides students with the fundamental skills necessary to deliver compassionate and comprehensive patient care. This program is designed to equip individuals with the ability to assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and feeding, while also emphasizing the importance of providing emotional support and clear communication with healthcare professionals. Graduates will be prepared to deliver patient care in various settings, ranging from hospitals and nursing homes to community care facilities and private residences. Successful completion of this program will prepare students to begin a career providing essential care to patients, while offering a stepping stone for CNAs to further advance their skills through the Advanced Bedside Care Provider Certificate.
